Ethiopia Mr. TADESE TEKO Espresso

FRESH LOT ALERT! This time from Ethiopia. We were very lucky and proud to be able to secure a couple of exceptional individual farmer lots this year. This will be our first to release from a new to us farmer named Mr. Tadese Teko. 

Mr. Tadese is farming in the Shale village near Worka town in Yirgacheffe. He owns 8 hectares of land which is large by the standards of the area where average land size is 4 hectares. Mr Tadese has 9 children and he manages to send his children to school thanks to the income he receives from coffee sales. He is one of millions of farmers in the Ethiopian highlands that relies on coffee to support their livelihoods. Farmers in the area usually create natural fertiliser meaning this coffee is organic without certification. It is noted that Mr. Tadese Teko is proud to have his coffee selected to be separated out for its exceptional quality.

The coffee itself is an obvious stand out. Cooked cherry, fresh white wine structure and mild caramel flavours with sparkling acidity and candy-like sweetness. We hope that you are as excited to taste this coffee as we are!
