Excited for another banger from the most recent Guatemala harvest. This one is from Nicolas Ramirez, a Bourbon variety (the best varietal…) from his family farm in the Concepción Huista locality in the Huehuetenango region. This cup is full of Jammy nectarine, dried currant, and dark chocolate flavours with syrupy sweetness and tart acidity. Bourbon is famed for giving us juicy, syrupy sweet, heavily fruited coffee, and Nicholas’ efforts in the field and processing have made that clear and available. Great for all of your black coffee needs, balanced and versatile, it will make a good, satisfying hot filter and a juicy, balanced cold one. This coffee will love milk too! Happy slurping!
